AHA (Vic) partner OMC Group have new designed new leadership development programs to create a staged approach to developing leaders in the hotel industry. The new programs are:

  • Pub Leadership Program
  • Managing your Venue Program

The Pub Leadership Program (PLP) has been expanded and now consists of 2 x 1 day modules. The first module is primarily focussed on building leadership capability of participants so they are clearer and more confident in being the leaders they want to be. The second module builds on this and focuses on enhancing the capability of pub leaders to more effectively deal with the challenges of managing a diverse worksforce. The second module is focussed on better managing the more complex situations that can occur within a pub environment – primarily with staff however also from a customer perspective.

PLP Module 1:
$425 per person (+GST)
Wed 18th July and Thurs 13th Sept

PLP Module 2:
$370 per person (+GST)
Wed 8th August and Wed 17th Oct

The Managing your Venue Program (MVP) is a comprehensive exploration of core capabilities and systems to support and more sustainable and effective approach to attracting, developing and retaining one of the most significant expense line items on a Pub’s financial statements – your people.

This MVP is designed for leaders who are established in their careers and who have accountability for delivering business performance across a property. Both the PLP and MVP are underpinned by proven pragmatic approaches and frameworks that can be immediately applied within a pub environment. Prior to attending the program, participants complete an on-line behavioural leadership assessment with the outcomes and comprehensive individual report and development suggestions included in the participant material.

William Angliss Institute

The AHA (Vic) through a strategic partnership with William Angliss Institute offers members a full suite of compliance training programs.
Qualification programs include:
  • Traineeship and apprenticeship programs delivered within the workplace,
  • Hospitality and cookery programs for front and back of house staff, and
  • Leadership and management programs for upcoming supervisors and managers.
