Keynote Speaker - 'The Next ASCENT'
Bianca Adler: Youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest
At just 18 years old, Bianca Adler became the youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest, reaching the 8,849-metre peak after years of preparation, discipline and determination. Yet what makes Bianca's story so compelling isn't simply that she reached the summit, it's how she responded when her first attempt fell short.
In 2025, Bianca came within just 400 metres of the summit before making the difficult decision to turn back due to dangerous weather conditions. Faced with strong winds, deteriorating visibility and the risk of frostbite, she chose safety over success. It was a decision that required courage, maturity and leadership well beyond her years. Rather than viewing the experience as failure, Bianca used it as an opportunity to learn, adapt and prepare for another attempt. One year later, she returned to Everest and achieved her goal.
Her achievement was the culmination of years spent training and climbing some of the world's most challenging mountains. Growing up in the French Alps, Bianca developed a passion for the outdoors at an early age and has built a reputation for tackling ambitious goals with focus, discipline and resilience. Experts in high-altitude mountaineering have described her success as evidence of exceptional mental fortitude and determination.
As the opening keynote for HospoFuture Expo 2026, Bianca will share the lessons she learned operating in one of the world's most demanding environments, where preparation matters, conditions can change without warning and decisions made under pressure can have significant consequences.
For hospitality leaders, these lessons are more relevant than ever. Every day, venue owners, operators and managers are required to navigate uncertainty, adapt to changing circumstances, lead teams through challenges and deliver results in high-pressure environments. Bianca's journey highlights that success is rarely a straight path. It is built through ambition, resilience, leadership and the ability to stay focused on the goal, even when setbacks occur along the way.
Opening a day dedicated to exploring what's next on the horizon for the hospitality industry, Bianca will challenge attendees to think bigger about what's possible, embrace the opportunities ahead and consider what it takes to reach their own next level.
