Victorian Pubs and Hotels Standing with Bushfire-Affected Communities

Victorian pubs and hotels have already raised more than $72,432 through the Hotel Care Foundation to support communities impacted by bushfires across the state, with fundraising efforts continuing.
Funds raised will be distributed to the 2026 Victorian Bushfire Appeal, CFA and SES, supporting both immediate response efforts and longer-term recovery.
The appeal
Victorian pubs and hotels have already raised more than $72,432 through the Hotel Care Foundation, with fundraising efforts continuing as communities face the ongoing impact of bushfires.
In the days following the fires, publicans and hoteliers across Victoria have stepped up, opening their doors, providing meals and accommodation and offering their venues as safe places for connection and support. These are roles pubs and hotels have long played during times of crisis.
Many pubs and hotels in fire-affected and surrounding regions are providing practical support directly to first responders, emergency service workers, volunteers and displaced locals, often at short notice and at their own expense.
This appeal brings together our industry: members, partners, suppliers and patrons, to support those on the frontline and the communities doing it tough.
