Novotel & ibis Styles Melbourne Airport take flight

Fasten your seatbelts and put your tray tables away! The first new-build hotels in the airport precinct in 20 years have taken off!

From runway to relaxation, a new way to travel has landed at Melbourne Airport with the launch of Novotel & ibis Styles Melbourne Airport, the largest hotel opening in Australia this year.

Taking travel to new heights, the dual-branded Novotel & ibis Styles Melbourne Airport offers travellers all the luxuries and facilities of a city hotel within easy walking distance of Terminal 4. With vibrant pops of colour and striking lighting design greeting guests from the moment they walk through the front doors, these hotels are unlike anything Melbourne Airport has seen and elevate the precinct’s accommodation offerings to a whole new level.

The phenomenal, aerodynamically inspired L-shaped building offers guests the choice of 464 stylishly designed guest rooms split across Novotel (248 rooms), which offer a sense of space and openness through a natural palette, while ibis Styles (216 rooms) embraces a playful atmosphere and uniquely creative spirit.

With architecture by award-winning Fender Katsalidis, and interior design by acclaimed Woods Bagot, the hotel’s sleek design is influenced by its location and showcases a distinctly Melbourne aesthetic. This can be seen in the bold accents, vibrant reds and modular details of ibis Styles which reference the metropolitan and urban grain of Melbourne, while the muted greens and timber finishes at Novotel reflect the colours of regional Victoria.

David Alexander, General Manager, Novotel & ibis Styles Melbourne Airport said:

“We’re thrilled to have our doors open and to be welcoming guests into these stunning new hotels.
